Most molds do not harm healthy people. But people who have allergies or asthma may be more sensitive to molds. Sensitive people may experience skin rash, running nose, eye irritation, cough and nasal congestion, aggravation of asthma or difficulty breathing. People with an immune suppression or underlying lung disease may be at increased risk for infections from molds.

A small number of molds produce toxins called mycotoxins. When people are exposed to high levels of mold mycotoxins they may suffer toxic effects in people, including fatigue, nausea, headaches, and irritation to the lungs and eyes. If you or your family members have health problems that you suspect are caused by exposure to mold, you should consult with your physician.

Fire/Smoke

The most common and pricey homeowner insurance claim is a kitchen fire. Not only can the flames cause extensive damage to cabinetry, countertops, appliances and ceilings, smoke damage can spread into the attic and throughout a house. When you experience any physical problems to your home, or other insurance related damages, make Midwest Construction and Restoration, Inc. your first line of defense.

If you have just suffered fire damage to your residential or commercial property; it is important to act fast!

Fire damage assessment can be complicated. The problems that occur due to fire damage are not always noticeable or visible. We understand that your home or business is your most important life investment. We take great care to inspect all of the aspects of your damage and create a thorough outline on the details of your property damage.

Midwest Construction and Restoration can alleviate your stressful fire damage event. Our representatives are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to get on the scene, assess the damage and begin the process of a reasonable and appropriate recovery immediately.

In the unfortunate event that you experience a fire in your home, you should call Midwest Construction and Restoration for professional restoration service. It is important that the cleanup begins as soon as possible. Smoke residues are acidic and with time they will cause surfaces to corrode and stain permanently. Smoke residues that were pressurized during the fire will permeate cracks and crevices of building materials and deposit odor-causing residues.

Midwest Construction and Restoration’s service professionals will work quickly to stop the damage and restore your home and contents back to pre-fire condition by using cleaning systems and equipment that will help eliminate costly replacement of restorable items.

Smoke odors can be difficult to remove due to its penetration and absorption into building materials. Our service providers have the knowledge, products and equipment to permanently remove these stubborn odors.
